When I set up my first ecommerce website, I didn’t really know that much about what I was doing. I didn’t choose the best shopping cart for my online business which I quickly realized was causing low profits on the site. After all, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that customers aren’t going to buy things on your website if they can’t figure out how to make the purchase.

I realized early on that I needed a new e-commerce shopping cart if this business was going to get off of the ground. Unfortunately, I didn’t really understand how to make that happen. I’d had enough trouble setting up the existing cart and that obviously hadn’t gone so well. I wasn’t even sure if you can just change your shopping cart or if you need to change the whole website.

In the end, I got some help from a friend who is better with computers than I am. She had me invest in a much better type of ecommerce software and rebuild my site so that it would function the way that I wanted it to. Once I understood what I was doing, it was all pretty easy. It just required being willing to ask for help!
