Tips for the perfect baseball gift

If you have a loved one that’s a serious baseball player, you need to know a little something about the game - especially when it comes time for gift giving. Here are some tips that might help you along the way:

1)       Know your equipment. Ask questions. Does he prefer ash bats or maple bats? It might not seem important to you. But it is to him. One clueless mother bought her baseball-loving son the wrong bat – he wanted one of those fastpitch softball bats. Needless to say, it didn’t go over very well.
2)       Find out who their all-time baseball hero is. Sports memorabilia is always a good idea. If you can, find old baseball cards of their favorite player. Scour the Internet for posters or t-shirts.
3)       Preserve any keepsakes. Did you save his first-ever homerun ball? If so, mount it in a stand and add a personalized nameplate. It makes the perfect gift down the road.

The thing is,when someone you love is passionate about any kind of activity, it makes gift giving a whole lot easier. You just need to think a bit creatively.
